⏱ Duration: 2 Days / 1 Night
🌍 Destinations: Gibraltar & Morocco
🏔 Rock Tour + Tangier Medina
🚌 Departs from central Seville
Stand at the southern tip of Europe and gaze across at Africa — just 14 kilometres of shimmering water separating two continents. Then board a ferry, and within an hour that distant coastline becomes your reality. In just two days, you will walk through the Gibraltar Nature Reserve, descend into a cave that ancient Romans believed reached all the way to Africa, come face to face with Europe’s only wild monkey colony, and lose yourself in the labyrinthine streets of a Moroccan medina. Two destinations. Two days. A journey that rewrites your sense of distance.
Departing from central Seville, this 2-day tour combines the full Rock Tour experience in Gibraltar — including St Michael’s Cave, the Columns of Hercules viewpoint and the famous Barbary macaques — with a ferry crossing to Morocco and a guided tour of Tangier that takes you through the old Medina and along the Corniche. A traditional Moroccan lunch is included, and you spend the night in a 4-star hotel by the sea.

🌍 What Makes This Experience Unique
🛳 Two continents, one trip
Gibraltar and Morocco — two destinations with completely different cultures, landscapes and histories, both reachable from Seville in a single weekend. The overnight stay in Tangier means you absorb each place properly rather than rushing through on a day trip.
🦧 The full Rock Tour experience
You don’t just see Gibraltar — you go inside it. The Rock Tour takes you to the Columns of Hercules viewpoint, deep into the chambers of St Michael’s Cave, and face-to-face with the Barbary macaques — the only wild monkey population in Europe, roaming freely on the Upper Rock.
🧭 Authentic Tangier with a local guide
Beyond the port, Tangier reveals itself: a maze-like Medina, a breezy Corniche and a sit-down traditional Moroccan lunch with dishes like couscous and tahini. Your local guide opens doors that independent travellers simply can’t find on their own.
📍 Main Spots on This Tour
Over two days, this tour takes you through some of the most dramatic and culturally rich landscapes in the western Mediterranean:
- Columns of Hercules viewpoint — Where you stand at the very edge of Europe and look out over the Strait of Gibraltar towards the Moroccan coastline.
- St Michael’s Cave — A vast natural cave system carved into the heart of the Rock, filled with extraordinary stalactite and stalagmite formations.
- Barbary macaques — The only wild monkey colony in Europe, living freely within the Gibraltar Nature Reserve. You will see them on the tour.
- Gibraltar commercial area — A fascinating corner of the world: British phone boxes and pubs a few steps from Moorish castle walls, with duty-free shopping.
- Old Medina of Tangier — Narrow, winding lanes lined with spice merchants, carpet weavers and artisan workshops, explored with a local guide.
- Tangier Corniche & the beach — A walk along the seafront promenade with views back towards Europe, where camels roam on the beach and you can arrange a short ride by tipping their owners.
- Traditional Moroccan lunch — A sit-down meal featuring dishes such as couscous or tahini, included in the tour price.

📖 Description
Your adventure begins in central Seville, where you board your transport for the journey south through the province of Cádiz. The order of the itinerary depends on the day of departure: on some days you visit Gibraltar first and then cross to Morocco; on others the ferry to Tangier comes first. Either way, the experience is the same — only the sequence changes.
Inside the Rock, St Michael’s Cave opens into a series of vast chambers draped with stalactites and stalagmites — a geological spectacle millions of years in the making. Above ground, the Barbary macaques go about their daily business with complete indifference to the humans sharing their territory. At the Columns of Hercules viewpoint, you stand at the very edge of Europe with Africa visible on the horizon across just 14 kilometres of open water. After some free time to explore Gibraltar’s surprisingly British high street — red phone boxes, duty-free shops and the curious coexistence of two cultures — you head south to Tarifa for the ferry crossing.
The crossing takes roughly an hour, but the transformation is total. Tangier receives you with colour, noise and spice — a city that wears its Moroccan identity proudly. Your local guide leads you through the winding lanes of the old Medina, past artisan workshops and spice merchants, out to the Corniche where the sea stretches back towards Europe. On the beach below, camels are a common sight — those who wish can arrange a short ride by tipping their owners. You then sit down to a traditional Moroccan lunch — aromatic and generous, with dishes like couscous or tahini. The evening is yours to explore freely before settling in at the 4-star hotel.
After breakfast the following morning, the ferry carries you back to Tarifa and your transport returns to Seville. Two days. Two destinations. A journey that permanently reframes your sense of what is close, what is far, and how much world you can fit into a single weekend.
