You will meet your official local guide at 19 Calle Francos and begin your tour of the Cathedral by skipping the queues and heading straight inside. Your guide will give you a history of the Cathedral and explain how impressive it is, being the largest Gothic cathedral in the world.
Additionally this great Cathedral is the resting place of the Italian explorer Christopher Columbus, and his tomb is an impressive memorial located inside the immense chapel. You will tour the whole interior of the Cathedral and its two altars and choir box, both of which are beautiful beyond words.
You and your guide will skip the lines and see the entire Cathedral, even get the chance to climb its impressive 100 meters tall bell tower, Giralda, and get the best view of Seville and the Barrio de Santa Cruz. The view of the Andalusian skyline is breathtaking at all hours of the day and surely cannot be missed.
Outside the Cathedral you will visit the Patio of Oranges, which in the Spring time you will surely be able to smell all over the city. The lush oranges of Seville are famous for a reason, and this square perfectly depicts why, and gives the outside of the Cathedral an even more homely and beautiful feel.
It take about an hour and a half to tour the entire Cathedral, leaving plenty of time for a relaxing lunch afterwards to discuss the amazing piece of history you have just toured. Maybe you have even been inspired to attend a mass or service inside the Cathedral.
