Begin this privately guided tour to the ancient Roman ruins and city of Italica. Beginning close to 10:00 a.m. you will embark on a private tour of the great archaeological site after meeting your guide at an agreed meeting point.
The trip is short as the ancient site is a mere 10 minutes away from Seville. Upon arrival notice immediately how different this is than any of your other excursions and experiences in the country.
You will enter the famous Amphitheater and journey back to 206 B.C. when the city was founded, visit the ancient baths, explore the San Isidoro del Campo Medieval monastery.
Discover the ancient city and walk across it´s beautiful mosaic floors, all of which are masterfully preserved to this day. You will stand where the gladiators once fought and where the Roman emperors Adriano and Trajano were born. The city truly takes you back to that time, and is a very different tour experience than anything else in the country due to the sites age and perfect preservation.
It takes roughly four hours to tour the city, learn its history, and appreciate the sites, returning you to Seville almost perfectly in time for lunch, where you can relax and enjoy yourself after an impressive tour, even having enough time in the day to embark on another!
